Whiteware

We provide a pick-up service within the Auckland region. The cost for this varies depending on your location and number if items to recycle. To organise a solution for your home or business, email info@computerrecycling.co.nz.

Please note all large appliances and whiteware need to be uninstalled and located either outside or close to the entryway for collection. You are responsible for ensuring that our collection team can access and collect your items easily, as our team is not responsible for any damage that may occur while removing the appliance(s). All large whiteware or oversized items need to be located on the ground floor – our collection team is unable to move items up or down stairs.

You must ensure:

All items are uninstalled & ready for removal
All items are outside (where possible) or close to the entryway, i.e. not in the kitchen, garage or shed
Oversized items & whiteware are located on the ground floor
Gates are open or unlocked, and the driveway is accessible for a medium-sized van
Dogs are secured
 

If the collection is deemed unsafe for our team members, they will need to return another time with an additional team member. This will incur additional hourly fees & pick-up costs.

Computer Recycling Ltd can recycle any whitewares – big or small. We have the capacity to deal with all your old whiteware, including ovens, fridges, washing machines, dishwashers and more.

Local councils in New Zealand will not allow you to dispose of your whiteware or appliances in your curbside rubbish or recycling bins.

It is recommended you include it in your inorganic collection or recycle it via an e-waste recycler such as Computer Recycling Ltd.

Whiteware is $20 per item to recycle with us. Drop it off to our location at 5 Southpark Place, or email info@computerrecycling.co.nz to book in a collection (charges apply). 

When whiteware or household appliances end up landfill there is the risk that harmful substances leach into the surrounding environment.

By recycling whiteware and household appliances you can ensure the precious metals are being extracted and re-purposed, and that any hazardous substances are being processed safely. 

While we don’t purchase individual items, we work with businesses to purchase and repurpose bulk amounts of equipment as part of our remarketing service.
